Nina Singh Became 1st woman Director General of CISF
On Dec 28, 2023, the Centre appointed Nina Singh as the Director General of the Central Industrial Special Force(CISF), and she became the 1st woman DG of CISF.
She is a 1989-batch IPS officer of the Rajasthan cadre and was the 1st woman IPS officer allocated to the Rajasthan cadre.
She has been appointed to the post till July 31, 2024.
IPS officer Rahul Rasgotra appointed as the DG of ITBP
IPS officer Rahul Rasgotra has been appointed as the Director General of Indo-Tibetan Border Police(ITBP).
Rahul Rasgotra, a 1989-batch IPS officer of Manipur cadre, has been appointed to the post till September 30, 2025.
At present, he is Special Diector in the Intelligence Bureau(IB).

Anish Dayal Singh has been appointed as Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force(CRPF).
Anish Dayal Singh, a 1988-batch Manipur cadre IPS officer is working as DG, ITBP till Dec 31, 2023.

Indian Navy Unveils new design of Admiral’s Epaulettes
The Indian Navy Unveils new design of Admiral’s Epaulettes, and the design is inspired by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Rajmudra. it reflect removal of the mentality of slavery, the Naval power of India, and the rich maritime heritage.
The announcement was made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Occasion of Navy Day at Sindhudurg.
The Octagon in Epaulettes indicate All-around vision(Eight cardinal directions), Sword convey Naval power(essence of Indian Navy), and the Telescope emphasizing foresight(long-term vision).
The Golden Navy button in Epaulettes indicate the remove slavery mindset.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India(SEBI) unveiled a roadmap for public zero coupon instruments by Not-for-Profit Organisations(NPOs).
The minimum issue size is set at Rs 50 lakh, and minimum application size of RS 10,000 is proposed to be raised.
