Rajasthan, India: The dusty plains of Rajasthan, India, echoed with the roar of helicopters and the crackle of gunfire as the 5th edition of the “Dharma Guardian” joint military exercise commenced at the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges. This annual event, held alternately between India and Japan, brings together 40 elite soldiers from each nation’s finest – the Indian Army and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) – for two weeks of rigorous training (February 25th – March 9th, 2024).
